Monument Valley

On our way up to monument valley from flagstaff today we stopped off at Cameron trading post as this is Navajo Nation there are a lot of crafts to tempt people with. We bought some gifts.
After Cameron it was up to Page and quick 2km hike to the Horseshoe Bend. So you get to stand as close to the edge as you dare to get the entire river in. As you can see I failed somewhat. Still a nice shot though.
From there to monument valley itself, crossing briefly into Utah, the View Hotel is the best hotel we’ve stayed in so far. The view over the valley is a western movie fans dream.
It’s another big drive tomorrow from monument valley back down to Williams AZ.
Cameron trading post is where I stayed. Only complaint it was dry. I think monument valley is my favorite place in the USA though the Grand Canyon is hard to beat. Did you find the Grand Canyon watch tower?
Yeah we went up the east watch tower. Stunning scenary the photos don't do it justice.
