Mundesley Part 2

Norfolk Coast

This is our last night in Mundesley, we have really enjoyed it. The weather (see we are English, we talk about the weather a lot!) has been up and down, we had glorious sunshine yesterday and a nice long walk along the beach and I mean long, it was challenging, stoney and hard to walk in places. We had to climb a lot of steps to get to the top of the cliff, the locals call it Cardiac Hill!

The village is very quaint, lots of pretty stone cottages and small lanes to meander along. We had lunch in the local pub and found a cafe that does really good coffee – thank goodness because we only have instant in the van and Baz is beside himself over that. We have a moka pot on order and look forward to that.

Today the weather interrupted our hike, it was just too cold and wet, we retreated to the coffee shop.

The choice was made at this point: Coffee not Walk!

The campsite has been quiet and the views from the cliffside have been wonderful, even if the mist covers it a lot of the time. The people on the site have also been so friendly and helpful.

Tomorrow we leave, heading back to my brothers for a couple of days, going to catch-up on some admin stuff and hopefully have some fun with the family.

Some of the beach was hard going
