Amarillo Texas

Well we arrived in Amarillo this afternoon drove down from Lamar, it was a weird trip as there were just long roads and nothing at all else. Huge expanses of land with nothing as far as the eye can see. Had a quick look around and came to Big Tex to eat. This place has the famous sign out side and has been going since the 1960s. There was a challenge to eat a 72 oz steak (just over 2 kgs!!) In less than 60 minutes, needless to say none of us attempted it. Fantastic meal though.
On the way down here we stopped at a place called Dumas pronounced Doo Mass not dumbass as some people in the car were suggesting.
Anyway speaking of dumbass I left my camera and gopro back in Lamar luckily they have it and have agreed to courier it to Flagstaff AZ for me. So all shots for the next few days are from phone only.
Tomorrow exploring Amarillo then off to Santa fe.
