Amarillo to Santa Fe

Finally part of Route 66 today. We did large parts of the original Route 66 interlaced with interstate 40 which in some parts goes over the original road.

First stop was Cavendars a western outfitters was full of wrangler jeans, Jackets, shirts, boots, belts in fact everything Cowboy. Bought a few things..

Next we stopped in a small place called Vega had a great little museum full of artifacts and memorabilia.

Next stop was the midpoint cafe this is the halfway point along route 66 between Chicago and Los Angeles

Ended our day in Sante Fe with not much chance to look around. That’s for tomorrow.
