Day 2 San Francisco
July 5, 2018
Day two in San Francisco doing some of the stuff we’ve done before but with Samantha who’s seeing it all for the first time.
A bus tour of the city was pretty cool it was a hop on – hop off but we learned our lesson from the last time and stayed on it this time around.
Was a warm day around 23C and sunny as you can see from the photos below.

We went across the Golden Gate bridge but doing another tour for that tomorrow but while across the other side we saw a couple of Navy Jets flying around F/A 18’s i believe?

Anyway were off to Alcatraz tonight so will post some more photos later.
Alcatraz we’d already been to Alcatraz on a previous trip (22nd July 2016) but its worth revisiting especially seeing it through Samantha’s eyes.

Alcatraz is well worth the visit, the evening tour is very good as the ferry takes you around the island so you get to see a lot more from the boat, the daytime cruises don’t do this. the audio tour (that Mandy is listening to in above photo) is fantastic with guards and ex-cons taking you through the facility. As always the merchandising has everything covered.
Tomorrow is not so hectic we have a morning relaxing before a 90 minute trip over golden gate bridge in an old SFFD fire truck. then a short stroll up the hill to Ghirardellis (chocolate).
