Day 4 Travel Day San Francisco to Durango Via Phoenix

Not a lot to post about today, the entire day was spent travelling.
- Checked out of hotel at 9:00
- Went to the airport
- Flight to Phoenix 11:55
- Arrived in Phoenix 14:00
- Flight to Durango delayed until 16:30
- Arrived in Durango 18:30
Now heres a thing, there are no taxis at the airport, you have to ring up for them it take about 20 minutes for them to come out to you, heres the clincher, if they can be bothered!. none of the taxis wanted to come out so we ended up finding a limo company to pick us up. he arrived at 19:00 he took us on a mini tour of the town which looks great!.
We arrived at the motel at around quarter to eight. Mandy was really disappointed with the room and i don’t blame her it looks like one of those seedy motels you see in the movies. Though I think it looks worse than it actually is.
On a bright note we walked a few blocks down the road to a pizza place and had one of the best pizzas i ever had.
Anyway tomorrow exploring a bit of the Colorado countryside.
Now…come on Berry!! That looks similar to most of our regional airports hahaha, and I bet none of them would have a limo service that will come out and collect you 🙂
You are in the wide west now son and you expect Taxis and good hotel rooms…….. wait til you pick up the hire car and find its a horse and cart…………
hahah both of you! hire car was good although its a Chev, i cant complain so far. Have gotten used to driving on the wrong side pretty quickly too.
