Day 2 Out of Sydney

So this morning we woke up and had a big debate about what we were going to do for Breakfast.

We ended up going out and finding a small cafe in an area called “The Rocks” the breakfast wasn’t that great i just had a slice of toast and a coffee Mandy had something called an omelette although it was not like any other omelette we’d ever seen! She left most of it.

We did however find a great little coffee place.

We got picked up by Alex at around 10:30 and headed out of Sydney to their place. on the way we went through a town called Picton this place had thousands of Fruitbats hanging from the trees it was pretty creepy to say the least! *Eric just told us of a time he got very sick from being around Fruitbats almost died.

When Laurie got home from work with Billie we left to go to a town called Crookwell. We shared most of the ride with in the backseat with Billie. The pain in my back .got a little much at one point and had to lay down ended up falling asleep.

Arriving in Crookwell we got to meet Margot and Eric Laurie’s parents. a lovely couple with some amazing memorabilia.

We went to the local hotel for dinner and i was plied with drinks and got ever-so-slightly sozzled.

Tomorrow we drive to Canberra to look at the war memorial museum
