Day 3 – Canberra Australia War Memorial

From Margot and Erics place, Canberra is about an hour and a half away.

Today was all about the Australian War Memorial in Canberra.

We spent a good 5 hours there and had a great look around, on our feet for most of it. There are some fantastic exhibitions there and is well worth a visit. Time spent seeing and understanding what has happened in the past is always worthwhile, the images horrify, challenge and inspire.

Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it – George Santayana 1905

Mandys Favourite was the WW2 area and I have to say mine is too, I loved the Avro Lancaster.
