Day 8: Bomber Command

This morning we saw Sam off at the train station and checked out of our hotel in Lincoln, so far the best hotel room.
On the way out of Lincoln we stopped off at the Bomber Command Memorial just outside of Lincoln. We wern’t expecting too much but were pleasantly surprised.
A very sombre setting with the names of over 53,000 men and women that gave their lives. The names do not show any rank as they want to reflect that each person made the same sacrifice.
Then it was onto Kings Lynn and Mandys family. Spent the afternoon catching up. A fish and Chips supper was had.
Back at the hotel in Kings Lynn a bit of a disagreement over the room led to an upgrade to a suite..
