Mont Saint-Michel

Bit of a bucket list place to visit for us and it was an amazing sight to see – but dare we say a little over commercialised. We enjoyed the walk to the site and the view of it in the changing light. Once inside it is incredibly busy even at this time of the year, can’t imagine what it is like in the summer. Very difficult to move around and we were glad to get out.

Had out first encounter with a rude waitress – went into a restaurant for lunch (and to escape the crowds) and after ignoring us for several minutes she then said “no” to what we wanted to order on the menu, apparently we had to have something from one area of the menu only!! so we left…
