Carcassonne

We have finally reached Carcassonne a must do for us on this trip, we didn’t know too much about it other than we like playing the board game! The Cite de Carcassonne is a medieval city built on the hill and its location is between the foothills of the Massif Central and the Pyrenees. Its stunning to see as you walk along the river towards the old city.

We got our steps in today walking there and then climbing the cobbled streets to the city itself. We had a nice long lazy lunch in a restaurant that was tucked away behind some high walls, away from the crowds. Its very busy and hot here today, we are staying a short distance outside the city at a camping Aire.
