Althorp House

Today we were in the county of Northamptonshire to visit Althorp House the ancestral home of Princess Diana and where she is buried.

It is a beautiful house and gardens and opens to the public for just two months each year, so we were very pleased to take the opportunity to visit.

Just after Baz took this photo, Charles Spencer walked out of the side door and passed us on his way to the gift shop for a book signing.

Didn’t realise until today seeing the family portraits and the stories of the house that the Spencer family and Churchill are related.

A really peaceful place and you can understand why they wanted to lay her to rest here.
